DIAPER BAG ESSENTIALS
When I was pregnant with Bennan, I spent a ton of time researching what to pack in the diaper bag but I did not research which diaper bag would be the most functional for our busy lifestyle.
Originally I bought an adorable black with white polka dot Kate Spade diaper bag while traveling out in DC. I was so in love with it and could not wait to test it out. Mind you that was way before I was even pregnant! Not going to lie, I was that baby crazy! Fast forward to a couple of weeks after giving birth to Bennan, I did not want to lug that crazy cute but huge bag around. I decided that I wanted a backpack that was smaller and easy to just grab and go. Game changer for sure!! So my poor Kate hangs behind the door in the nursery for right now. I wanted to share a few of my personal favorite items that we always carry on us in the backpack.
My baby model had just woken up from a car nap and was not very thrilled about being photographed.
Skip Hop- Pronto Changing Station- Diapers and wipes fit perfect! You can lay this out anywhere you go.
Boogie Wipes- Must have for crusty baby noses and constant messy food face.
Infant Tylenol- Knock on wood, we have not had to use this yet. Buuuut we always have it on hand just in case.
Dirty Diaper Baggy/ Doggy Poo Bag- Stinky diapers are no fun and we have a doggy. These are great little bags to have on hand while we are out and about or out on a walk.
Messy Eater Stain Treater- My child eats just about anything and is not clean about it. His clothes get SO dirty and stained so easily. This stuff is magic! We bought it at a local boutique in Roseville called SPIN Gifts.
Snack Container- B loves this container because he can get his own snack out and it does not spill super easily. He literally fell asleep the other day with his hand in the container.
Puffs- These are a nice little snack, although the third ingredient is sugar..... I just try to limit him to a certain amount each day. But what doesn't have sugar in it these days?!
Earth's Best Pouch- I make a lot of Bennan's food but we always have these pouches as backups. His absolute favorite is the banana raspberry & brown rice.
Teether Snack- These are a new favorite. B just cut four teeth on top and it is so cute to hear him crunch crunch crunch on these.
MAM Bottles- A friend recommended these bottles to us and I L-O-V-E!!! They have a vented base that helps the milk flow better so babies don't swallow so much air. There are a lot of pieces to take a part and clean but it is so worth it.
Formula Dispensers- Life saver! We fill the perfect amount of formula in each dispenser so when we are out it is super easy to make a bottle without having to carry a tub of formula and make big messes.
Bib- Custom made by a co-worker's friend.
Thirty-One Bag- I bought this at a party that my friend had. I figured it would be perfect to store extra clothes in the diaper bag.
Honest Skull Diaper- These ROCK!! Love this brand! We use Honest and Pampers Swaddlers.
T-Shirt- Once again, a friend recommended these T-shirts and we love them! They wash well. I love the plain colors and they are so reasonably priced.
Old Navy Pants- I love dressing B in cozy pants because he is so active and I like him to be able to move around easily. Love Old Navy's clothes!!
Elephant WubbaNub- We have like four or five different WubbaNubs. They are just darling! B does not take a pacifier but he always has a WubbaNub with him. He chews on the side of the paci when he is teething but other than that it is just a fun toy to take along.
Tag Blanket (Similar)- Our sweet little neighbor who is now three picked this out for B. It has always been her favorite and she still loves on it. B likes to play with the tags and chew on the rubber tags.
Sofie the Giraffe- Always a baby must have!
Nuby Keys- These are great to have around, most of the time they end up at the bottom of the diaper bag. They are great to freeze for a teething baby.
Young Living Thieves Hand Purifier- I LOVE Young Living! My mother-in-law got me hooked! This waterless purifier is the BEST!! I don't use anything else now! I keep them in my car, diaper bag, purse and I even keep a big bottle on the changing table.
Young Living Stress Away Essential Oil- Ever since I traveled with B by myself, I have kept this in the diaper bag. It is such a great natural stress reliever. I do a couple of drops on my wrists and behind my ears. When we are home I like to diffuse it.
Young Living Grapefruit Lip Balm- Best Lip Balm EVER! Once again, I have either this flavor or the Lavender ALL OVER the house, in my car and in just about every purse or bag I own. So moisturizing and leaves lips feeling soft.
Diff Eyewear- Rose Tortoise Gold Mirror- Love at first sight with these sunnies!
Altoids or Gum- ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS!
